Norma Westurn, MA, LPC

norma westurnAfter 20 years of experience working as a counselor, I realized that there was no place designed to provide mental health care for the Hispanic/Latino community. The major problem is the lack of cultural sensitivity and Hispanic providers.

To fill this gap I sought to create a culturally sensitive place that facilitates care for the Hispanic/Latino community. With the support and participation of a group of mental health professionals who knew the population very well, Centro de Mi Salud was created.

Centro de Mi Salud strives to assist our clients to identify and meet their needs with respect for diversity. We empower our Hispanic/Latino community to help themselves. We are proud to provide high quality mental healthcare based on love, understanding, and professional knowledge.

“Producer Sujata Dand approaches her participants with artful openness and without judgment--each has her story to tell; each has learned lessons from which we can all benefit.”
