Allison Whitehead, LBSW

allison whiteheadAllison Whitehead, LBSW, is the Executive Director and Founder of alley’s house. She formed the organization, designed and developed the current programs and manages the organization on a day-to-day basis.

Allison worked for the American Heart Association for over 12 years and she has been involved in the Dallas volunteer community since 1992. In addition to her extensive volunteer work at alley’s house, she has coached mentally challenged adults, performed intake assessments of juveniles incarcerated at a detention center, acted as family liaison between teens and their families and worked with the Dallas County Gang Prevention Pilot Program.

She was Volunteer of the Year for Arc of Dallas, nominated for the Volunteer Center’s Volunteer of the Year award and nominated for the JC Penney Golden Rule award. Allison is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in social work and concentrated studies in business management and psychology.
